The Knowledge of Herbs

Excursion and Workshops on the Uses and Secrets of Medicinal Plants

Location: Perda Liana, Ogliastra, Sardinia.

Minimum recommended age: 6 years

Difficulty: Easy, but with some sections that require attention
Cost: Adults 35 euros, Children 25 euros

Total experience duration: about 6 hours (including stops)
Total hiking distance: 5 km (round trip)
Elevation gain: about 400 m
Terrain: trail with rocky and uneven sections, possibility of slipperiness in case of rain

Day Program

Guided excursion*

The Perda Liana ring route is a must-do excursion that embraces the famous limestone tower in the heart of Ogliastra, Sardinia. This trail offers you spectacular views and immerses you completely in wild nature, giving you an authentic and unique experience among the breathtaking landscapes of the island.

Lunch break: a moment of relaxation in a unique natural setting. Lunch is packed and provided by the participants.

A typical Sardinian lunch with selected local products is available on request.

Workshop on Aromatic and Medicinal Herbs: We will take part in a sensory activity to deepen our knowledge of Sardinian aromatic plants and essential oils.

Introduction to the properties and uses of essential oils extracted from local plants
Practical demonstration on creating a natural remedy
Activities differentiated according to the age of participants
Each participant will make a small product to take home

What to bring

Trekking shoes or shoes with a sculpted sole for greater stability
Comfortable and layered clothing
Hat and sunscreen
Water bottle
Towel or blanket for packed lunch
K-way or windbreaker in case of variable weather

Participation fee

Cost:

€35 for adults
€25 for children (free up to 6 years old)

The cost includes the guided excursion, the workshop on essential oils and the small product made.

Reductions for students and over 65s

Important information

The meeting point will be communicated a few days before to participants via email or WhatsApp group.
The itinerary may be subject to changes depending on weather conditions or other organizational needs.
The event will be confirmed based on the number of registrations.
During the excursion, each participant is responsible for their own safety and must follow the guide's instructions.
By participating in the event, you authorize the use of photos and videos for promotional purposes (those who do not wish to appear in images can inform the organization).
